Project:  Elasto-Plastic Constitutive Driver for Geomaterials

PI(s):  Pedro Arduino

Sponsor:  University of Washington - Royalty Research Fund

Objective:  Implement and calibrate advanced constitutive models for geomaterials into a general constitutive driver.

Research Approach:  Representative and advanced constitutive models, capable of reproducing the behavior of different types of geomaterials under general three dimensional conditions are selected and implemented into a global constitutive driver designed to accommodate all constitutive models, allowing researchers, students, and practitioners to compare their performance in reproducing the observed behavior, their efficiency, and computational cost.
