Information for Employers & Recruiters
The CEE Department offers a variety of services to help employers in their recruitment efforts and to encourage students and employers to connect.
Students are interested in opportunities that help expand their experience and build knowledge and skills (internship, co-op, part-time or summer jobs) as well as in permanent career placements. Students' interests range from "general civil engineering" to specific areas of engineering emphasis covered by CEE, including construction, transportation, geotechnical, structural, water resources/ hydrology/hydraulics, and environmental engineering.
Services for Employers
Posting position announcements
We can post free of charge electronic position announcements to our students and recent graduates via our email lists. Electronic announcements are typically posted immediately. Electronic announcements are preferred over paper announcements, as the latter take more time to process and circulate.
CEE Career Fair -- The 10th Annual Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) Career Fair will take place on January 21th, 2016. Registration for companies and orgnizations interested in attending the fair will begin in late August.
The CEE Department can help promote special employer events such as presentations, competitions or on-campus interviews.
Participation as guest speakers, mentors, fieldtrip sites
Professional Engineers and/or their companies may volunteer to provide assistance in student activities such as Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge competition teams, in-class projects, mentoring of students, and sponsoring student fieldtrips to your offices and/or field sites.
