Computer Models

The Models used in this course are created in STELLA, a graphically oriented modeling software that is powerful yet user friendly. In the current atmosphere of water resources planning, models must be built such that everyone involved in the planning process can access them. STELLA allows this through a variety of tools that create an interface that allow a novice user to operate a complex model. We suggest that you Microsoft Explorer to download this model.  The file that you download has a STELLA model, and two folders with graphics and sounds.  The Graphics and Sounds folders need to be located in the same folder that contains the model.  For instance, if the Fairweather2001.stm file is in the folder C:\Planning, then the other folders should appear as:  C:\Planning\Sounds and C:\Planning\Graphics.
