usky Racing
is the University of Washington's club sport cycling team. We ride
all disciplines of collegiate racing: road,
track, mountain and cyclocross, and last year we had the honor of
hosting two of the national championship races, in track and cyclocross.

My season started late this year, with the Walla Walla Walla Parking Lot Criterium. I did very well, considering the amount of training that I've been able to manage, or at least the amount that I've convinced myself to do. I did less well in the sunnier, warmer, and drier Walla Walla Campus Criterium. Just for the hallibut, I raced at Seward Park recently. And to round out the final parts in my "6 races in 8 days", I raced in the District Championships, and sort of survived. I've now started racing on the track, one night so far.
To see just how excited I was earlier in the season, check out my early season commentary.
I competed in and commented on several races last season: the Collegiate B races at Eastern Washington University, Oregon State University, and Washington State University, one race of the Seward Park training series, and for good measure, commentary on the 1996 STP.

We held track nationals in September 1996, and despite the weather and strong competition, we emerged victorious. Full results and my commentary are availiable, as well as photos from Brent Soderberg. Cyclocross nationals were held December 7th, at SeaTac Park. And yes, it was wet and muddy for all participants and most of the spectators.

The Daily, the college paper had several articles on out team's pursuits: last year's first race, and winter training for that race.
Husky Racing hosted and won the the 1996 Collegiate Track National Chanpoinships, The Daily had one article on the preparation and one on the results.
The 1996 Cyclocross Nationals were also held in Seattle, and The Daily also wrote about that race.
