Grand Challenges Impact Lab: India Study Abroad Program

While in Bangalore, students are equipped with hands-on problem solving experience, empowering them to address real-world problems while increasing their cultural awareness.

Valle Scholarship & Scandinavian Exchange Program

Program that promotes and funds the exchange of graduate students between the University of Washington and institutions/organizations in Nordic countries in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, architecture, landscape design, urban planning, and construction management.

Engineering Rome

Students live in Rome for 25 days and spend their time discovering, experiencing, and analyzing civil infrastructure within the Eternal City that spans 3,000 years from ancient Rome to the present day. Engineering from the ancient, Rennaissance, Baroque, modern and times in between all coexist together in Rome to make it the perfect infrastructure laboratory.

Students work on a variety of engineering projects around the world, with the goal of empowering communities, meeting basic needs and improving quality of life.

For students interested in studying abroad for an academic year or semester, a number of programs are available at partner institutions, which offer engineering courses in English. Academic year and semester programs are best suited for juniors and seniors.
