Throughout the academic year, UW CEE is pleased to offer three annual endowed lectures supported by generous donors. The lectures provide an opportunity for the greater UW CEE community of alums, students, faculty and friends to gather for an educational and social event. Lectures are free and open to the public.

The Steve and Sylvia Burges Endowed Lectureship features distinguished civil and environmental engineering experts who broaden the horizons of engineering students and professionals beyond the purely technical challenges of our times.
The Edward Wenk, Jr. Endowed Lectureship in Technology and Public Policy continues the professional legacy of Dr. Edward Wenk, Jr., by exposing students and the community to distinguished speakers who bridge the gap between public policy and engineering.
The Daniel L. and Irma Evans Endowed Lectureship provides an opportunity to deepen the understanding of engineering by exposing students and practicing engineers to the concepts, challenges, concerns and methods they will interact with throughout their careers.
