Research facilities and labs

UW CEE’s six research groups maintain labs and other facilities that enable them to perform cutting-edge research. The labs feature standard testing tools as well as specialized research equipment.

Classrooms

Classrooms are managed centrally by Academic Technologies. CEE academic services staff can assist with questions or requests related to classrooms.

Infrastructure

Research facilities and labs

UW Facilities maintains interior and exterior building spaces. If you have an upcoming request, browse a list of services offered. To report a work order, send an email to Summer Dela Cruz with the following information:

  • Provide a detailed description of the problem or work requested. For construction projects, please identify budget constraints, desired completion date and preferences for day or evening work.
  • Budget and charge Information
  • Specify if you would like an estimate, fixed price contract, or if work requires network/phone changes
  • Building and room number

Graduate student space allocation and desk assignments

Faculty advisors must notify the CEE admin office about desk assignments by sending an email to Summer Dela Cruz. Please include the following information:

  • Research group (e.g. Constr., Transp., Structures, etc.)
  • Building/room
  • Desk number
  • Name
  • Designation (UG/TA/RA/PostDoc/Visiting Student/Visiting Faculty)
  • Faculty advisor
  • Start/end dates of expected tenure
  • If keys are required for the assigned building and/or room, please specify in your email and CEE Admin staff will send a notification email when the key is ready for pick up in the main office. A $20 one-time key deposit is required (cash/check), which is refundable upon key return.
